Cooks will share ingredients to create new dishes
On Saturday, Durhams Motorco Music Hall is hosting a Food Truck Mash Up event, where each trucks cooks use ingredients from the other trucks to create new dishes.
The participating trucks include KoKyu, Pie Pushers, Chirba Chirba Dumpling, Farmhand Foods Sausage Wagon and The Parlour. This is a ticketed event, and there are two tasting sessions, from 3 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. The event also includes live music.
Tickets cost $30. If you buy two adult tickets, you can get a free pass for a child under the age of 12.

Celebrate Bastille Day
Raleighs Coquette restaurant is celebrating Bastille Day, aka French National Day, on Saturday with two events:
• At 3 p.m., a waiters foot race featuring tray-carrying waiters, bartenders and managers throughout the North Hills shopping complex. The race starts and finishes at Coquettes bar. Current, retired and amateur waiters welcome.
• At 6:30 p.m., a four-course wine dinner. The menu includes heirloom tomatoes with seared shrimp, pork consommé, Provencal chicken and chocolate pots de crème. The dinner costs $60. Call 919-789-0606 for a reservation.
