Gwinnett slams Bulls

— Felix Pie hit a grand slam and drove in six runs as the Gwinnett Braves beat the Durham Bulls 13-1 Friday.

The Braves struck early, scoring seven runs in the second inning of their series tying win.

Durham scored its lone run in the eighth against reliever Billy Bullock, who permitted a single to Tim Beckham, then walked three of the next four he faced. Reid Brignac’s walk forced Beckham home.
