RALEIGH — Police said Saturday that were investigating how someone was hit by a gunshot in a parking lot at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek when a crowd was leaving a Jason Aldean concert Friday night.
Police would not disclose the name, age or gender or where the victim was hit. They released a statement saying only that the wound was not considered life threatening and that the victim was taken to WakeMed Hospital.
Aldean, a country singer, said in a Twitter message Saturday, “There's no excuse 4 things getting that heated in traffic leavin a show. I'm prayin 4 the fan who was injured and thanx to the Raleigh police for acting so quickly.”
Aldean performed a one-night show in Raleigh and was scheduled to perform in Camden, N.J., Saturday.
