RALEIGH — Two men are charged in connection with an early morning shooting at a Raleigh nightclub.
The shooting victim, Tavarius Deon Quiller, 25, of Barksdale Drive, faces charges of common law robbery, assaulting a pointing a gun and possession of a firearm by a felon. Quiller was reportedly shot in the calf and thigh in an incident in the parking lot at the Passion nightclub at 3925 New Bern Ave. around 1:30 Saturday morning, according to an e-mail from Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue.
Quillers injuries are non-life-threatening, Sughrue wrote. Roland Alvin Young Jr., 23, of Quartz Court, was also charged with discharging a firearm within city limits and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Additional suspects are believed to have been involved in a shots-fired incident that preceded a scuffle with the security guard. The investigation is ongoing.
