PITTSBORO — Sheriff’s deputies in Chatham County said Friday that an undercover drug investigation resulted in drug possession and sale charges against Annette Moffitt, 55, of 1007 12th St. in Siler City.
Moffitt was charged with sale and delivery and with possession with intent to sell and deliver drugs. Deputies did not specify what drugs they believe Moffitt handled, saying only that they were covered by state law’s Schedule II of controlled substances, which includes cocaine, opiates like hydrocodone and amphetamines in its list of drugs.
Deputies said they arrested Moffitt when she was in Chatham County court on an unrelated charge.
She was ordered held on a $20,000 bond.
