Two shot during argument in Johnston County

Published: August 18, 2012

— Two men were shot Saturday morning during an argument on Eddie Drive in Princeton, Johnston County sheriff’s deputies said.

The men, whom deputies did not identify, were both taken to WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh. Authorities said their wounds were not believed to be life-threatening.

According to deputies, cars were sent to investigate a report of a shooting at 105 Eddie Drive, which the county’s mapping system lists as Eddie’s Drive, about 8 a.m. When they arrived, deputies found the two men wounded.

A statement from the sheriff’s office did not say if anyone had been charged.

According to the deputies’ account, a large group of people were arguing about something before the shots were fired.

The address is listed on county online tax records as a vacant parcel, but aerial photos show a building there.
