Mudcats lose to Nationals in the 10th

— The Carolina Mudcats blew a four-run lead late in the game to lose 9-8 to the Potomac Nationals Wednesday night in 10 innings.

Up 8-4 heading into the bottom of the eighth, the Mudcats imploded giving up two in the eighth, two in the ninth and the winning run in the 10th.

On a positive note, Ronny Rodriguez hit home run number 18, and Anthony Gallas hit home run number eight for the Mudcats. Fabio Martinez took the loss to fall to 0-2 on the season.

Neil Holland picked up win number six for the Nationals against one loss.

The two teams play again at 7 p.m. Thursday.
