DURHAM — A suspect has been arrested in the shooting of another man at a North Durham residence around 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Ashraf Mwafaq Mubaslat, 39, of 1906 Stadium Drive, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He is being held at the Durham County jail, his bail set at $500,000.
Officers investigating reports of gunshots found the victim at the 1906 Stadium Drive home of Mubaslat, who was later arrested.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where he is still in critical condition, according to spokesman Brandon Parrott of the Durham Police Department.
