Durham police arrested Darren Devon Taylor Jr. who is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and simple assault in connection with the shooting.
Taylor was placed in the Durham County Jail, and his bail was set at $750,000.
The Durham Police Violent Incident Response Team also arrested Torico Edwards Jr. without incident in connection with the shooting on Friday.
Edwards is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Edwards was the second arrest to be made in the shooting on the 2500 block of South Roxboro St., which sent an 18-year-old male to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators arrested Derek Antonio Huggins, 17, on Aug. 25 and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury and simple assault.
