Durham police seek information about sexual assault

— Police are asking for information about a sexual assault that was reported on Aug. 13 on Palmer Street.

A female victim told officers she was walking on Palmer Street around 12:30 a.m. when a male approached her, pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.

She described the suspect as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s with a dark complexion, a thin mustache and a muscular build. He was wearing a toboggan cap or doo-rag on his head. No other identifying characteristics such as tattoos, scars or hair style was provided.
