Water features to emulate

We asked you to show us your homemade water features. Here are two to emulate:

Viagra Falls

We built our pond into the landscape at the front of the house to greet visitors and let them experience the invigorating sound of water from inside and outside our house. Pumping water trickles down to the second pond and falls four feet, providing a sonorous, continuous splash. A life-size metal sculpture of a heron has kept a real heron (thrice spotted!) from returning to check out our koi. We have 20 in the pond. One day we gave it all the name, “Viagra Falls.”

Patio pot

Built this water feature using a large pot, plastic tub in the ground and, of course, a pump. Its sound is very relaxing after a hard day working in the garden.
