By this time next year, David Robertson will have been a Catamount, Falcon and Bulldog.

The Green Hope senior, who transferred from Panther Creek this summer, has committed to UNC-Asheville to play college basketball next season.

Robertson averaged 17 points per game for the Catamounts last year, placing him second in the Tri-9 Conference in scoring. He was a first-team all-conference selection and was invited to Dave Telep’s Carolina Challenge, a showcase event bringing together 80 of the top players from North Carolina in the spring.

Listed as a 6-foot-2 guard, Robertson played the point for Panther Creek last season but could see more time as a shooting guard with the Falcons. He averaged 11 points and 2.7 assists per game as a sophomore for the Catamounts.

UNC-Asheville, coached by former N.C. State player Eddie Biedenbach, has won the Big South Conference tournament in back-to-back seasons and each time advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
