DURHAM — A pedestrian died Monday morning after being hit by a car on Martin Luther King Parkway near Grandview Forest Drive.

Police were called at 8:14 a.m. The accident is still under investigation, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said, but it appears a man in his 20s who was involved in the domestic dispute ran out of an apartment and into the road, where he was hit.

He suffered critical injuries and died later at Duke Hospital.

Police have not identified the victim or the driver.
