CARY — The Town of Cary has closed all eastbound lanes of Tryon Road near Piney Plains as officials respond to a gas leak.
Drivers are encouraged to use Southeast Cary Parkway to Walnut Street as an alternate route.
The road is anticipated to reopen by 6 p.m.
