White Street Brewing Co. opens Saturday in downtown Wake Forest

Published: September 11, 2012

The Triangle's craft beer scene keeps growing with Saturday's opening of White Street Brewing Co. in downtown Wake Forest.

The 4,000-square-foot brewery and taproom at 218 S. White St. will be open from noon to midnight. They will be serving their pale ale, Scottish ale, Black IPA and Kolsch in flights, pints and growlers.

Developer Dino Radosta, 44, and his wife, Tina, are opening the brewery in a historic building that once housed a car dealership in the 1930s. The building is one of three the Radostas purchased on White Street after he retired from Ad Systems, a software consulting company that he started.

Radosta hired Chris Bivins as the head brewer. Bivins most recently worked as a brewer at 5 Seasons Brewing Co. in Atlanta.

Although they don't serve food, Radosta says customers can feel free to bring in takeout food from other downtown restaurants or to order food to be delivered to the brewery. For more information, go to whitestreetbrewing.com.
