Fuquay-Varina police charge two with cocaine possession

— Two men who were in a car that police stopped Wednesday afternoon were charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell or deliver it after officers found what they said was 20 grams of the drug.

Brian Keith Jones Jr., 31, of 7820 Wilson Pond Lane in Fuquay-Varina was also charged with driving with a revoked license, speeding and failure to appear in court on a previous misdemeanor charge and misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Maurice Jones, 48, of 509 Ashewyck Commons Court, also in town, was held on the cocaine and marijuana charges.

Police stopped the car on Perry Howard Road shortly after 3 p.m., according to arrest report.

Police said they did not if the men are related.

Brian Jones was being held Thursday on a $62,000 bond. Keith Jones had posted a $10,000 bond.
