Accident closes one lane of I-540 westbound

RALEIGH — A one-car accident closed the left lane of Interstate 540 westbound between Knightdale Boulevard and Old Milburnie Road in Raleigh shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday as rescue crews tried to reach a woman whose car had run off the road and into the highway median.
