All lanes of Carpenter Upchurch Road between Green Hope High School and Heritage Pines Drive in Cary have been closed as a precaution while CSX works to reinstate three cargo rail cars that jumped the tracks this afternoon. There have been no injuries or Hazmat issues associated with the incident. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes throughout this evening and overnight. Officials expect the work to be complete prior to morning rush. Green Hope High School may be accessed via Louis Stephens Drive throughout the closure.
