Durham police seek Subway robbery suspect

Durham police investigators are asking for information about an armed robbery at Subway restaurant on South Miami Boulevard.

According to Durham police spokeswoman Kammie Michael, a man armed with a gun entered the restaurant at 5400 South Miami Blvd. around 8:40 p.m. on Monday and demanded money from employees. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was described as black, 6 feet tall and approximately 160 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans, light-colored sneakers and dark sunglasses. He left in a silver Ford Explorer or Ford Expedition, according to Michael. Police did not offer an approximate age of the man, or say whether or not he had tattoos, facial hair, or any other defining features.
