Caniac Carnival is still on

September 25, 2012

There may be no hockey but there still will be a Caniac Carnival.

The 13th annual Caniac Carnival will be held Sunday at PNC Arena from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This year’s Carnival will feature activities inside and out of the arena, and parking and admission are free and open to the public.

Outside the arena will be inflatable rides, interactive games, a toddler zone, sports area, live music and appearances by Hurricanes mascot Stormy and the Eye Care Associates Storm Squad. Inside the arena, fans can play street hockey on the arena floor, take pictures on the team bench, in the penalty box or with the Olympia ice resurfacer.

Unlike other years, Hurricanes players will not be signing autographs this year because of the NHL lockout and postponement of training camp.
