— Police have been called to Raleigh Metals on Garner Road several times when people have tried to sell scrap that workers deemed suspicious and possibly stolen, but officers charged a Garner man Tuesday night with breaking into the business to steal scrap metal from it.

An arrest warrant accused Hollie Watkins Jr., 58, of 3711 Cranston Road with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering, alleging he was trying to steal $350 worth of scrap extruded aluminum. Police arrested him at Raleigh Metals about 10 p.m., a report says.

Watkins was being held on a $20,000 bond.
