RALEIGH — Police are investigating a death Wednesday at the Super 8 motel on New Bern Avenue.

At approximately 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, police received a call from the motel saying that someone refused to leave the site at 3804 New Bern Ave. No details are yet available, but after the officers arrived the situation was declared to be a death investigation, according to Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue.

Police have not said whether the initial call was related to someone staying at the motel or someone who was on the premises who refused to leave.
