Pope airman killed in car accident

— A North Carolina-based airman was killed Friday in a car wreck in Raeford.

Senior Airman Jordan Godbout, 22, was an aerospace medical service technician assigned to the 43rd Medical Squadron, 43rd Airlift Group stationed at Fort Bragg.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Senior Airman Godbout’s friends and family, Colonel Daniel Tulley, the 43rd Airlift Group commander said,. “This is a tragic loss for the Air Force and his unit, he will be greatly missed by his 43rd Airlift Group family.”

Senior Airman Godbout was a native of Binghamton, NY.

The cause of death is under investigation.
