RALEIGH — U.S. marshals in Maryland have arrested a man who charged with robbing a Mechanics and Farmers Bank on East Hargett Street on Sept. 24, police said Monday evening.
Dellonte Rashaun Seburn, 33, was arrested in Hyattsville, outside Washington, D.C., Raleigh police spokesman Jim Sughrue said.
Seburn is charged with robbing the bank by passing a demand note to a teller shortly after 11 a.m. Witnesses told police the robber got in a cab to make his escape, then got out of the cab about a block away near the State Capitol.
Seburn was being held in Maryland pending extradition to North Carolina. He had a string of arrests dating to 1997, according to records of the Corrections Department in Prince George’s County, Md.
