RALEIGH — Wake County sheriff’s deputies charged a woman early Tuesday with 32 counts of uttering a forged instrument and 20 counts of forgery in connection with checks cashed at a grocery store during two weeks in September.
Diane Marie Gaylord, 37, of 3924 Blue Horizon Lane in Apex was arrested at her home Tuesday morning after deputies obtained arrest warrants charging her.
According to the warrants, Gaylord is accused of cashing 32 checks with forged signatures at a business listed as Scott’s Grocery between Sept. 10 and 24.
Another set of warrants carry the 20 forgery charges.
Gaylord was being held at the Wake County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
The arrest warrants listed Gaylord’s address as 4713 Edwards Lane in Raleigh, but she was arrested in Apex and lives there now, a report states.
