RALEIGH — N.C. State will face Florida States top-rated defense without three starting offensive linemen, including guard Zach Allen, who is out for the rest of the season with a foot injury.
Allen, who started the first five games at right guard, got his right foot rolled up from behind during the third quarter of N.C. States 44-37 loss to Miami last Saturday.
Left tackle Rob Crisp will miss his fifth consecutive game with a back injury, and tackle Andrew Wallace will miss his second consecutive game with an injured left ankle. Wallace and Allen suffered similar injuries on similar type of plays.
Cameron Fordham is expected to start at right guard for Allen, with R.J. Mattes starting his second straight game at left tackle. Duran Christophe will start at left guard and Tyson Chandler will make his fifth consecutive start at right tackle.
Center Joe Thuney also will play Saturday, coach Tom OBrien said, with center Cam Wentz moving to right guard when Thuney plays.
Running back James Washington will miss his second straight with an ankle injury.
N.C. State faces No. 3 Florida State at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
The Seminoles (5-0) lead the ACC in total defense, scoring defense, rushing defense, pass defense and sacks.
