DURHAM — Police are searching for whoever fired gunshots into three East Durham homes late last week.
People were inside the homes when the shootings occurred, but investigators did not report any injuries. The shootings took place last Friday just before 11:30 p.m., according to Durham police Lt. Patrice Andrews.
The gunshots were fired into a home in the 1500 block of Amberley Drive, the 1100 block of N. Guthrie Avenue and the 2600 block of Ashe Street. The shootings occurred during a 15-minute period, Andrews said.
Witnesses told police that a small white car and small dark car sped away from the area after each shooting. Police ask anyone with information about the incidents to call Det. J.P. Brigante at 919-560-4281, ext. 291222, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
