RALEIGH — Emergency workers this morning transported someone from the N.C. State Fair to the N.C. Jaycee Burn Center at UNC-Chapel Hill.
Paul Jones, a state fair spokesman, did not know the extent of the victims injuries, but he said the assumption is somewhat severe, because the victim was taken to the Burn Center.
But maybe as a precautionary measure, he added.
The incident occurred about 9:45 a.m. near Brinkleys Cafe.
Jones said emergency workers have not yet disclosed the name of the victim or how the person was burned.
Nor have officials disclosed if the person was a fairgrounds employee or visitor.
