Published: October 16, 2012

— CHAPEL HILL -- Traffic, including bus routes, will be affected by street closures during first lady Michelle Obama’s visit to the University of North Carolina on Tuesday, Chapel Hill Transit warned riders.

A number of bus routes will be affected, the town-run system said.

Riders should check the transit system’s website to see if their bus is affected when they plan to ride.

Drivers also should be aware of disruptions possible due to security closings of roads before, during and after the 3 p.m. event at Carmichael Arena.
