RALEIGH — Multiple crashes involving several vehicles on rain-slicked Interstate 40 westbound near Harrison Avenue made a mess of commuter traffic Friday morning.
There were no immediate reports about injuries, but traffic backed up as emergency workers sorted out the scenes.
Firefighters said a dump truck was one of the vehicles involved.
