Students earn black belts

After at least four years of training and a weekend of physical trials in Blowing Rock, 17 students from the Chapel Hill Quest Center earned black belts in the martial art To-Shin Do ninjutsu.

Coming from Durham, Chapel Hill and Cary and earning their first-, second- or third-degree black belts were Bailey Adams, Shaylen Atma, Carson Clymore-Greene, Meg Cowan, Eryn Dennehy, Patrick Dennehy, Matthew Gayek, Alan Huff, Matthew Kaminsky, Jennifer Kronmiller, Alex Mason, Davis McCain, Sydney McDaniel, Anna Roseman, John Taylor Schumacker, John Robert Vance Jr. and Alexander Waguespack.
