Scout works on field area

Maclin Batchelor of Raleigh has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting.

For his Eagle project, Maclin built benches and cleared, graded and mulched a new entrance to the athletic fields at Broughton High School.

Maclin, the son of Ronnie and Marlene Batchelor, is a senior at Broughton and a member of Troop 395 at White Memorial Presbyterian Church.
