Sisterhood awards scholarship

Ruby Paiee Au, a recent graduate of Enloe High School in Raleigh, has been awarded the PEO STAR Scholarship.

The scholarship, worth $2,500, is awarded to female high school seniors recommended by a PEO chapter for leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, academic achievement and the potential for future success.

Ruby, the daughter of Lucy and Frank Au of Cary, was recommended for the scholarship by PEO Chapter Z in Raleigh. She planned to attend the University of Southern California.

The PEO Sisterhood is an international philanthropic organization that promotes educational opportunities for women.
