Raleigh man charged with nine counts of sexual exploitation

— The State Bureau of Investigation charged a Raleigh man Thursday with downloading pornographic videos of minors.

Michael Joseph Plocar, 60, of 3512 Griffice Mill Road, has been charged with nine felony counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor, according to arrest warrants filed at the Wake County Magistrate’s Office.

An SBI agent reported that the incidents occurred Sept. 18 through Oct. 27, court records show.

Investigators have accused Plocar of accessing webcams that displayed minors engaged in sexual activity, including one involving a teenager and a canine, according to the arrest warrants.

Plocar remained in custody Friday at the Wake County Jail. He is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bail, court records show.
