ZEBULON — Authorities in Stokes County, Va., on Thursday accused an 18-year-old Wake County resident with taking indecent liberties with two children under the age of 16.
Stokes County sheriffs deputies have charged Jovon Devonta Smith of 118 Canterbury Drive in Zebulon with two felony counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, according to an arrest warrant filed Thursday at the Wake County Magistrates Office.
A Wake County arrest report lists Smith as being a student at East Wake High but does not specify which of the divisions of the Rolesville Road school.
The incidents occurred between July 7 and July 13, court records show.
Sheriffs investigators have accused Smith of inappropriately touching two children for the purposes of sexual arousal and gratification.
Smith was in custody late Thursday afternoon at the Wake County jail. He is being held under a $50,000 bail, court records show.
