Before moving to the Triangle in 2007, Chandler worked at newspapers in South Carolina, Washington, D.C., and Tokyo. Originally from Marietta, Ga., she graduated from Furman University in Greenville, S.C., with a degree in English. She lives in Garner with her husband, a daughter and a big yellow dog.
