Stalling on jobs
With all the talk about the need for jobs, the failure seems to lie less with government than with the private sector. American corporations are enjoying record profits due to tax cuts, offshore tax havens and the exploitation of cheap labor abroad. It seems that rather than using these advantages to create jobs in domestically responsible and patriotic ways, we are given promises by the Mitt Romney camp that they will do so only once elected.
Why are they not creating work opportunities now? Could it be that the Republicans No. 1 priority is still to make sure that President Obama does not succeed as reprehensible as that is for widening the countrys divisions and economic ills.
