Celia Stone: Mixed signals

Mixed signals

In your chart on Oct. 18 comparing President Obama and Mitt Romney on “women’s issues” you left out a few key points. Your comparatively short blurb on Obama and abortion failed to mention that he opposed a ban on abortion for sex selection and a ban on partial-birth abortion. Also left out was Obama’s stance for taxpayer funding of abortion.

Your article prompted me to find some facts on issues that matter to women. Seven women in the Obama White House earn the highest staff salary compared to 14 men. Twice as many top jobs for men as for women. Some might question how equal this is.
