Cleaner than coal

The Sunday Point of View article by Avner Vengosh on the negative effects of coal ash on our waters is yet another point to be added to the long list of negatives related to coal energy. This is a clear example of why we need to shift our focus to using cleaner energies, such as wind and solar energy.

North Carolina has the largest potential on the Atlantic shore for offshore wind energy, and its development would reduce our reliance on coal. We need N.C. leaders to show support for these technologies so that we can make our way towards a cleaner future.
