Student tops in Brain Bee

Meghana Ganapathiraju of Cary won first place in the Brain Bee at the North South Foundation’s 20th Annual National Academic Championships.

The contest challenges Indian-American students in categories such as spelling, vocabulary, geography, math, science and public speaking. The Brain Bee event quizzes students on facts related to neuroscience. The contest was held at the University of Michigan in August.

Meghana is a student at Green Hope High School.
