Out near the points, red drum have been caught in large amounts. Flounder, speckled trout, bluefish and puppy drum have been caught in the sound. Ocracoke/Portsmouth

Cape Lookout/Bogue Inlet

Topsail Island

Wilmington/ Wrightsville Beach

Southport/Sunset Beach

Freshwater
Falls Lake
L argemouth bass are still biting at the main lake points at medium depths on crankbaits and Texas red worms. Crappie are still biting minnows and small jigs on the river channels at 15 foot depths. Kerr Lake
Largemouth bass are biting on crank baits at shallow depths with the cooler weather. The crappie are still biting at varying depths around brushpiles.
