Armando P. Cordileone

Armando P. Cordileone, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday November 6, 2012. Armando was born in Italy and came to this country at the age of 2. He grew up in Endicott, New York and resided there until moving to Cary, NC in 1998. Armando was predeceased by his parents Michael and Filomena, a younger brother Silvio and his sister, Adelene. He leaves behind his wife of 65 years Marie, his children Robert (Denise) Cordileone and Sherry (Daniel) Sirmons. His five grandchildren Brian, Lisa, Steven (Jennifer), Morgan (Kevin) and Daniel; and five great-grand children Aurora, Brennan, Caleb, Elizabeth and Andrew. One brother, Tony (Natalie) Cordileone and a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Evelyn O’Hara and their son Jim and (Carol) O’Hara. Jim and Carol’s children, Devon, Ashlee and Colleen. A close family friend Michael Robbins. Armando served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII stationed in Nigeria, Ireland, England and France. He retired from IBM with 33 years of service. His most enjoyable times were spent with his family. The family will receive friends at Mitchell’s Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh, NC on Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 6 pm – 8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Michael’s Church, 804 High House Rd. , Cary, NC on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 1 p.m. Burial at Wake Memorial Park in Cary.
