Feel the pain

All of this talk about a fiscal cliff is a joke. The total amount of taxes and spending cuts in the fiscal cliff is $688 billion or 4 percent of GDP. Last time I checked, we were $16 trillion in debt with another debt ceiling limit increase on the way.

Let these tax increases and spending cuts happen across the board and give the electorate a taste of some fiscal austerity.
