Court race civility

In your Nov. 8 editorial “Court decisions,” it was good that you mentioned the clean race between my brother and Court of Appeals Judge Cressie Thigpen. Throughout the race, both candidates focused on their experience and abilities and not on each other. In private, Chris often commented about his respect for Judge Thigpen, and was thankful to have received a congratulatory message from the judge after the results came in. He is humbled by the result and thankful for the opportunity to serve for the next eight years.
