RALEIGH — Police have accused a 22-year-old woman of intentionally fracturing the ribs, skull and leg of her 8-month-old baby.
Trista Denise Miles, of 1617-B Burgundy St., is charged with one felony count of intentional child abuse causing serious bodily injury, according to an arrest warrant filed Friday at the Wake County Magistrates Office.
Police think the offense occurred on Oct. 24.
In addition to the fractures, the injuries listed on Miles' arrest report included a tear along the infants stomach lining, laceration of the pancreas and bruising of the liver and spleen.
Miles remained in the Wake County jail Monday, her bail set at $200,000.
