Petraeus’ shame

Gen. David Petraeus is being touted as a great hero and he was. But, he has wasted his 37 years of outstanding service by a weak moment. He has shamed himself, his service, his uniform and his marriage. I wonder how many military men/women he court-martialed for adultery and conduct unbecoming an officer. Today, many active military men, including NCOs and officers, are being court-martialed for similar activities.

We should applaud the general for what he did as a general, but not for what he did as a man. He is an adulterer and has messed up his family and the family of his paramour. I should also mention she is guilty of adultery as well and should not be treated as a victim.
