Friday's football playoff heroes

NCHSAA playoff heroes:

Vincent Jefferies, Garner: Completed 11 of 17 passes for 295 yards and five touchdowns in a 56-35 win over Leesville Road. Armani Lanier had six catches for 146 yards and three touchdowns.

Evan Parker, Leesville Road: Completed 22 of 35 passes for 282 yards and three scores. Braxton Berrios had 11 catches for 183 yards and three touchdowns in the loss to Garner.

Aaron Farmer, Cleveland: Completed 24 of 39 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-28 loss to Wilson Hunt. Donqua Williams caught both scoring passes and had 12 catches for 147 yards. Isaac Martin rushed 25 times for 202 yards and two scores.

Trai Sharp, Carrboro: Rushed 25 times for 159 yards in a 20-16 win over Reidsville.

Johnny Frazier, Princeton: Rushed for 125 yards in a 27-7 win over Rosewood.

Sean Motley, Orange: Passed for 136 yards and ran for a touchdown in a 14-13 win over Eastern Alamance. The Orange defense intercepted three passes.

AROUND THE STATE

Josh Joyner, Wilson Hunt: Scored three touchdowns and rushed for 111 yards in a 33-28 win over Cleveland.

T.J. Logan, Northern Guilford: North Carolina recruit rushed for 225 yards and five touchdowns, caught four passes for 71 yards and a score and intercepted two passes in a 49-14 win over Southern Guilford.

Jaylend Ratliffe, Scotland: Sophomore quarterback rushed for 164 yards and passed for 80 in a 36-28 win over Fayetteville E.E. Smith.

Jalen McDaniel, Fayetteville Britt: N.C. State recruit caught eight passes for 178 yards, including the game-winning reception with 25 seconds left, in a 56-52 win over Richmond County.

Josh Gibons, Matthews Butler: Rushed for 185 yards in a 25-15 win over East Forsyth.

Emeri Scaife, Mallard Creek: Passed for 277 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-0 win over Charlotte Olympic.

B.J. Beecher, Concord: Completed 19 of 37 passes for 180 yards in a 21-20 overtime win over East Rowan.

Will Grier, Davidson Day: Passed for 315 yards and four touchdowns in a 54-38 NCISAA Division II title win over Arden Christ School. Grier has 68 TD passes this year.

Elijah Hood, Charlotte Catholic: Junior rushed for 299 yards and six touchdowns in a 49-18 win over Kannapolis Brown.

Tristan Mumford, Statesville: Scored four touchdowns in a 27-21 win over Belmont South Point.

Jacquin Waktins, New Bern: Rushed for 231 yards in a 49-35 win over New Hanover.

Marcellus Sutton and Ja’quan Willia ms, Warsaw Kenan: Sutton rushed for 233 yards and five touchdowns and Williams ran for 211 and three scores in a 68-41 win over Red Springs.

Julio Cisneros, Albemarle: Booted a game-winning 32-yard field goal with 3:58 left in a 19-18 win over East Columbus.

Derrell Scott and Taylor Woods, Havelock: Junior runners scored four touchdowns and three touchdowns, respectively, in a 57-7 win over Washington.
