Perks, pay, Pogo
In the midst of the post-election finger-pointing and pontification by both parties, it was refreshing, even shocking to read the Nov. 16 column by J. Peder Zane. Yes, it is great sport blaming the rich, poor, immigrants, political parties, etc. for our sorry financial condition. But we have been on the driver’s seat, electing politicians who dare to give us what we demand: all perks, no pay.
You want to point the finger, look in the mirror. Pogo had it right.
It was good to hear from Zane again.
