Jennifer Sieredzki, a fifth-grader at Riverwood Elementary School in Johnston County, won the National School Bus Safety Week Poster Contest for her age division in North Carolina.

Her poster, which follows the national contest’s 2012 theme of “Stand Back from the Yellow and Black,” was deemed tops in the category for grades 3-5.

As a first-place winner, Jennifer received a plaque featuring her artwork and an MP3 player. Her poster went on to compete for selection as the official poster for National School Bus Safety Week 2013. She won third place in the national contest.

This is Jennifer’s fourth consecutive statewide win in the contest, and she was the national poster contest winner when she was a first-grader.
