Girl Scout earns silver

November 25, 2012

Rachel Jessup of Raleigh has earned the Silver Award, the second-highest achievement in Girl Scouting.

For her Silver project, Rachel worked with horticulturalists and master gardeners to learn about using native plants and natural pollinators to benefit the native landscape and ward off invasive plant species.

Rachel, the daughter of John and Sarah Jessup, attends Leesville Road High School and is a member of Troop 1069, led by her mother.
